Troubleshoot & Retry: Fix Stuck or Incomplete Boosts
🔧 Troubleshoot & Retry: Fix Stuck or Incomplete Boosts
Overview
The Troubleshoot & Retry feature is your safety net when a boost encounters issues or gets stuck. This powerful tool allows you to salvage partially completed boosts by creating a new boost with only the remaining tasks, ensuring you get the full engagement you paid for.
When to Use Troubleshoot & Retry
The Troubleshoot & Retry button appears automatically when these conditions are met:
✅ Time condition: The boost was created more than 1 hour ago
✅ Progress condition: Less than 75% of tasks have been completed
✅ First attempt only: The boost hasn't been retried before
Common scenarios where this feature helps:
🔴 Boost seems stuck at a certain percentage
🔴 Progress hasn't moved for several hours
🔴 Some reactions/comments failed to deliver
🔴 LinkedIn temporary issues interrupted the boost
How It Works
Step 1: Locate the Button
The Troubleshoot & Retry button appears in the action area of affected boost cards. Look for the 🔧 tool icon.
Step 2: Understanding What Happens
When you click Troubleshoot & Retry:
Analysis: The system identifies all undelivered reactions and comments
New Boost Creation: A fresh boost is created with only the missing tasks
Original Boost: Marked as "force recreated" to prevent duplicate retries
Task Cleanup: Any pending tasks from the original boost are cancelled
Step 3: Confirmation
You'll see a confirmation dialog explaining:
"This will create a new boost with only the missing tasks"
"Your existing progress will be preserved"
Click "Yes, Retry Boost" to proceed
Step 4: Results
After confirming:
✅ A success message shows how many reactions and comments will be reprocessed
✅ The new boost appears in your queue
✅ The original boost is marked to show it was retried
✅ You retain all progress from the original boost
Important Details
What Gets Preserved
✅ All successfully delivered reactions
✅ All successfully posted comments
✅ Your boost history and analytics
✅ The original boost record
What Gets Recreated
🔄 Undelivered reactions only
🔄 Failed or pending comments only
🔄 A new queue position for faster processing
Cost Information
No additional charges - You've already paid for these engagements
The retry uses the same credits allocated to the original boost
Only undelivered tasks are reprocessed
Example Scenario
Original Boost:
100 reactions ordered
20 comments ordered
Stuck at 60% (72 reactions, 12 comments delivered)
After Troubleshoot & Retry:
New boost created with:
28 remaining reactions
8 remaining comments
Original 72 reactions and 12 comments are preserved
Total result: Full 100 reactions and 20 comments delivered
Best Practices
⏰ Wait Before Retrying
Allow at least 1 hour for the system to attempt delivery
Some delays are normal during peak LinkedIn usage times
The feature won't appear until the 1-hour mark anyway
📊 Check Progress First
If progress is above 75%, the boost is nearly complete
Small delays at the end are often normal
The feature is disabled above 75% to prevent unnecessary retries
🔍 One Retry Only
You can only use Troubleshoot & Retry once per boost
This prevents system abuse and duplicate deliveries
If issues persist after retry, contact support
Troubleshooting
"Troubleshoot & Retry button not showing"
Check these conditions:
⏰ Has the boost been running for at least 1 hour?
📊 Is the progress below 75%?
🔄 Has the boost already been retried? (Check for "force_recreated" status)
📱 Are you viewing the full boost card (not the compact view)?
"Retry didn't complete either"
If the retry boost also encounters issues:
Check LinkedIn's status page for platform issues
Verify your LinkedIn account is active and not restricted
Contact Podawaa support with both boost IDs
"Progress shows differently after retry"
This is normal! The new boost only includes missing tasks, so:
0% on the new boost = picking up where the old one left off
100% on the new boost = all missing tasks completed
Combined progress = original + retry boost
Technical Notes
How We Prevent Duplicates
Each task has a unique identifier
Successfully delivered tasks are marked as complete
The retry system only creates tasks for incomplete items
LinkedIn's API prevents duplicate reactions on the same post
Timing Considerations
Retried boosts get standard queue priority
Processing time depends on your selected speed:
Normal: ~3.5 hours
Fast: ~2 hours
Super Fast: ~1 hour
